Originally opened in 1959 as America’s first seasonal fine-dining restaurant, under the guidance of the late James Beard and many other culinary taste makers, The Four Seasons Restaurant paved the way for a new era of elegant dining, seasonal menus focused on the best fresh ingredients and our unique brand of personalized service, where guests are family.
Now, after nearly 60 years of service, we are excited to open the doors and welcome you to the next era of The Four Seasons Restaurant- bringing our legacy to a spectacular new location on 49th Street at Park Avenue, in the heart of midtown Manhattan.
Designed by world renowned Brazilian architect, Isay Weinfeld, the restaurant combines the drama and purity of modernism with the comfort and sensuality of rare natural materials sourced from all corners of the globe making the restaurant an international retreat in the center of New York City.
From the sunken glass & gold leaf bar and the hand-painted beaded window treatments from a small village in the Czech Republic to the limestone from Italy, Edward Wormley designed furniture, and stunning light sculpture by Michael Anastassiades, every material was hand selected with a vision of a comfortable atmosphere at the forefront of the design.
